Reverend Marlow Hinton

Reverend Dr. Marlow Hinton serves as Associate Minister at Genesis Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC where he preaches, assists the pastor, sings in the choir and teaches Sunday School. He leads the Enrichment for Christian Living Circle which includes Sunday School, Bible Study, New Members and Discipleship Training, Black History, and Leadership Training. He has developed and has taught workshops on the Power of Prayer, and on such powerful subjects as Increasing Faith, Facing Temptation, Worry, Fear, Doubt, Being a Better Witness, and other workshops from a biblical perspective. He also led the Pastoral Transition Team.

Reverend Hinton is currently employed by the VF Corporation as a Systems Analyst and teaches part time at NC A&T State University as an instructor in the Computer Science. He is married to the former Wanda Waddell and they have two daughters, Jamila and Nikki, and two grandsons and three granddaughters.

Dr. Hinton is a very active volunteer in the community and has served as Chairman of the Board for the Greensboro Urban Ministry and the Cropwalk Hunger Relief campaign for 3 years. He also served two terms on the Board of the Interactive Research Center (IRC). He also served on the Board of Cities-In-School Dropout Prevention Program. Additionally he started a computer based SAT Training program for inner-city youth and was an area Torchbearer for the 1996 Olympics as a community hero.
